Oh My Soul opened in 2020 as Charlotte's first fully vegan restaurant in the NoDa arts district, founded by South African natives Richard and Tallulah Duffin. The menu reimagines American and South African classics — burgers, ribs, chicken, fish — entirely plant-based, alongside waffles, milkshakes, and house-made pastries. South African wines and vegan cocktails anchor the drink program. The restaurant occupies a repurposed mill home decorated with recycled materials, and the pet-friendly patio sits beneath a century-old oak tree. Guided by the South African principle of Ubuntu, the team supports local animal sanctuaries and charities monthly.
